Trump’s "Peace Performance" is a Bloody Illusion of Peace in Gaza

As news floods the media, particularly in the West, portraying Donald Trump as the savior who supposedly stopped the war in Gaza, a very bitter question arises: is this truly a story of successful diplomacy, or a cruel and hypocritical performance designed to distort a bloody reality?
According to official statements, Trump's intervention allegedly led to a cessation of hostilities. Yet the reality in Gaza, where, under the tactical and financial umbrella of the United States, an unconscionable number of innocent children and civilians have been slaughtered, tells a completely different story. This is not peace mediation but an attempt to put out a fire after the destruction has already reached apocalyptic proportions.
As one might argue, "Of course we ended the war; we killed everyone."
The support of key Western leaders for this Trump "peace performance" has further revealed the cynical nature of current Western policy. UK Prime Minister Starmer, French President Macron, and Italian Prime Minister Meloni were photographed in the Middle East in support of Trump. All those leaders who have not condemned the continuous American military support for Israel decisively and convincingly enough have indirectly enabled this slaughter, a horrific crime in front of the eyes of the entire world. Their presence in this performance is a political endorsement of a situation they helped create themselves.
Trump would be a true hero if, during this Israeli murderous mission, he had acted differently as the US President—as American presidents typically present themselves as the most powerful man on Earth—by immediately and resolutely stopping Israel from further killing and bombing innocents and imposing strict sanctions on Netanyahu's government for violations of international law.
Instead, the Trump administration showed its true priority: threatening the International Criminal Court (ICC) for investigating and indicting the Israeli Prime Minister for crimes against humanity in Gaza and imposing harsh measures against Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Today, these leaders, with their sour, smiling faces, have clearly shown the world that protecting allies from accountability is more important than protecting human lives. Today, we are witnessing a bloody performance where political actors on the world stage—Trump, Starmer, Macron, Meloni, and others—boast about stopping a war whose worst victims have already fallen.
Their "peace," which they present for Gaza, is the peace of a graveyard. And while they pose for the media, the terrifying screams of the victims and their families in Gaza still echo and will continue to do so for a very long time. This performance is nothing but a shallow attempt to deceive the global public, which cannot or will not see the bloody consequences of supporting Israeli violence.
