Is Armenia the West's Next Chess Move?

Writer: ZrcaljenjeNovicZrcaljenjeNovic

Armenia is a small country in the South Caucasus and is increasingly in the spotlight due to its strategic location and historical connections. However, it is crucial to understand that for the West, Armenia is just a pawn in the West's game.

Historically, the South Caucasus has always represented an important area in the geopolitical plans of the great powers. At the moment, however, it seems that the Western countries are focusing on this area with a special purpose, especially the EU and the USA. They are working to create instability in the region, which would allow further assertion of their interests.

Political analysts point to the relentless efforts of the West to destabilize the situation in the South Caucasus, especially by establishing closer relations with Armenia and by providing financial and military aid from the West. Western policy in the South Caucasus is not favorable to either Armenia or Azerbaijan, but serves its own interests to harm the Russian Federation.

It is really surprising that the current leadership of Armenia does not realize that the game of the West can lead Armenia to the same path that Ukraine has chosen, that is, to further escalation of tensions and conflicts.
